I’m an wanderer who somehow landed here in Rochester, New York. My home is Hong Kong, I guess I’m technically Irish, but with probably a lot of Viking thrown in for fun.

As a child, we’d spend summer with my grandmother, in her tiny West Cork village - she had an old chest in her living room, filled with family pictures and albums. On rainy afternoons (of which there were many during Irish summers), I liked nothing better than pulling them all out and asking to hear their names and their stories. I loved the little black and white prints, faded and well thumbed.

I love old cameras - I remember finding an old box brownie in the junk store at the top of the village, and saving all my summer pocket money, because my 6 year old self just had to have it. It still sits in my studio today.

As a photographer, I believe in legacies. I believe that photography is important, and should be valued - in our throw away, selfie culture, there’s still a place for professional photography - images that will be loved, printed and kept. I’m honoured that in 50, 70, 100 years, my photos may be spread on a living room floor, poured over by children yet to be even thought of.

I especially believe in the specialness of the brand new lives that come into my studio - I promise I take every care, from insurance, to vaccinations, to on going safety training to ensure that your newborn photographs are beautiful, and SAFE.

Whatever your family looks like, however crazy your kids are (and they won't beat mine, I promise!), I'd be honored to come along side and capture it.
